We came for a big party and were a bit overtaken by grandiose floating centerpieces and champagne tree. But food quality and , the most, quantity was outstanding, service excellent and friendly. The party was fabulous and we had a great time ! Not sure about prices and value, we were guests.

Primarily been a hang out for Eastern Europeans. This restaurant creates a night club dancing atmosphere on friday-sunday nights when typically large parties are booked. But they are always open for brunch and have a closed outside space all the time for you to sit down and have a good meal.Good menu, with a number of good options. Prices are not for a moderate spend. But this is in-line with many similar places in the neighborhood. Tuna steak is really good, and they have many great appetizer options.

An informal little neighborhood restaurant just around the corner from the Brighton Beach stop on the B and Q subway lines. The wall murals say Paris, but the food is Russian. Fairly big, typically Russian menu. Very good food, nice presentations, excellent service without pretense. Most appetizers around $8. Most main courses $12-14. Limited beverages, but a request for just plain water resulted in a large pitcher of water with lots of ice and lemon wedges in it. Limited English, with some menu approximations like other Russian restaurants, e.g., "schnitzel" stands for ground meat, richly seasoned, shaped into a think patty, breaded, deep fried, and served under a magnificent jumbo sunny-side egg; "Tabaka chicken" is actually a Cornish hen, split, flattened to a butterfly shape, seasoned, and grilled under a brick or some other weight, emerging more moist and delicious than a Cornish hen deserves to be. Just trust the lady in the kitchen. A large party of hitherto quiet seniors did get up from their long table to folk dance in the aisle for ten minutes.

XO Creperie

We are somewhat regular at this place. We are here probably once every 2-3 months. Though stated at tripadvisor as french cuisine, they are kinda Russian/French fusion.I certainly recommend this place if you like to try that type of fusion cuisine. I have taken guests from Brazil, from Tokyo to this place and they all loved the food. Here are a few negative points:- the place is considered pricey. But if you compare to the Manhattan, its very similar.- they do charge 10% service charge that is automatically added to your gratuity. Since i give 20% tip, i just match the service charge to total up to my regular tip.- the service can be stagnant at times, especially if they are full. There are plenty of positives though:- menu variety is very good- there are likely a thing or two you havent tried it yet- you definitely should as for recommendations and try things with Russian flare- most of appetizers are well portioned. you will probably be almost full by the time the entry is brought to the table- my most favorite part is the desert. the XO special and the cherry crepes are a must to try
