Welkom is also known as Circle City, City Within A Garden, Mvela and Matjhabeng. The city's Sesotho name, Matjhabeng means 'where nations meet', derived from the migrant labour system, where people of various countries such as Lesotho, Malawi and Mozambique etc. met to work in the mines of the gold fields.

Nando's is now located next to a church some customers don't respect some church goers. Some put their beer bottles in front of the church exit. When the church comes out vehicles tires get damaged. One customer went so far by swearing a elderly couple that enters the church entrance. Some customers drinks alcohol in public which is also against the law. Free State Gambling Liquor Act 6 of 2010 Section 128 (3)(D). That is totally unacceptable.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here. The ambiance is suited for a fun family experience with small children. They have a nice outdoor play area that is secure and safe. The big surprise here is how tasty the food is and the price is very reasonable. Great drinks too.
