Many from the area kept telling us to try Firehouse Subs, so we did. We walked to the order area and looked at the menu board on the wall. I looked over the preparation area and saw more menu listings. So we ordered. The clerk twice asked us if we wanted anything other than the sub. Twice we told him just the subs please. The price per sub is higher than other sub places. Our bill for 2 subs came to $14.03. Ok, but then the clerk asked if we wanted to round it up to the next dollar. Puzzled I asked why but was told it went for donations to the local firefighters. For a worth cause we rounded up but I do know firefighters make very good money from their jurisdictions. My husband liked the tuna sub very much, however, I was not fond of my club sub or the whole wheat bread. I still like another brand of sub better.Valued Guest, thank you for deciding to give us a try. We are happy to hear your husband enjoyed his sub, but we're sad to hear you didn't enjoy yours. We hope you give us another chance to make you a fan. We also wanted to alleviate some of the concern regarding your donation. The funds are not used as income for first responders, but as a means to donate much needed life-saving equipment such as vehicle extraction tools or AEDs in addition to professional support. This is a really nice Wisconsin style ice cream/custard restaurant. Everything is done as it should be, if you're up for burgers and the like with a frozen treat dessert this place will do the job for you quite nicely.

Large dining area and very clean. We picked up sandwiches to take out and they were really good. We ended up coming the next day too.

Every table was dirty. One booth had a giant chunk of vinyl missing. Fries and straw wrappers litter the floor. This place needs a GOOD cleaning all over. On the plus side, the food was good. But makes me question if they'd pass an inspection. Cashier was good but no smile.
