Perfect burger place, you can just see on the place that the burgers will be delicious. We had a cheese and a bacon & cheese and both were perfect, the bacon crispy and good. The milkshake was to die for - best weâve had in the whole pacific so far. Yum!

Malabar is a few (short) blocks from the central market. A small storefront, so you can miss it - but don't. A very interesting restaurant and bar - breakfast + lunch time it is a restaurant, but at evening it is more of a bar. We found it during lunch, and it was great. This is a small restaurant that has wonderful service and very very good food. It appears to be a local favorite as-well.The restaurant is very nicely designed - great look with very comfortable seating - with very nice air conditioning. It has a short menu, but everything is delicious. My Swedish wife had Salmina (salmon) which was great, best she ever had; My daughter enjoyed the Tomates Mozza (salad) and eat every bit; I had the Chikita (chicken) which was perfect. We highly recommend Malabar and it is worth looking for - it is a great find.

The food is tasty and fresh. My favorite is the "kebab galette", meat and veggies packed in a wrap with a white sauce. Their pizza dough is awesome. If you are a meat lover, try the "3 meat" calzone, not on the menu but totally doable, just ask at the counter. The goat cheese salad is also very good.
This burger place is located over by the Paul Gauguin High School, off the beaten path. It servers burgers, paninis (even a nutella one), ice cream and milk shakes. I struggled to order in French, but later on found out that Joe, the owner, is from California. He shared how his family came here because his dad was from Tahiti and his mom is from the US. He's got pictures of his parents performing on the wall. He's got pics of his dad and Brando. Joe is such a nice friendly guy. The burger and fries were really solid. He serves them with an excellent fry sauce. I'd definitely come back!
