My son, toddler cousin & I went to this Chick-fil-A for lunch/playground on Saturday, January 21 & experienced above & beyond kindness from our cashier, Morgan. I placed an order and was $.38 short. Morgan offered to comp the $.38, which was kind, but I decided to change the order to a total that would not require the restaurant to comp anything. Instead, Morgan said that the meal was "on her"! I was not asking for that, did not expect that, but was very grateful and appreciative of her above & beyond kindness to us. Although I am accustomed to outstanding service at Chick-fil-A, I have never had this happen before. Kudos to Joshua Raef and his staff!

Ate dinner here during a visit to Amarillo after hearing about it for a couple of years from my wife's family. Lots of fun walking in- colorfully painted wooden chairs, bright colored ceramics (iguanas mostly) on the walls, wooden macaws swinging from the ceiling, tile floors. You order off the board over the front counter, like a traditional taqueria, and food comes up pretty quickly. There were 3 of us, and oddly our order was grouped by item, not by customer- i.e., all of the tacos were on one plate, all the enchiladas on one plate, and the chili rellanos on one plate, rather than the plates assembled according to who ordered what, so we had to sort things out.I thought the food was okay. My chili rellano was really very good, and the Tex-Mex style cheese enchilada was also pretty good but nothing special. The taco was relatively flavorless, which now that I know it's part of the Taco Villa chain doesn't surprise me. They have a nice salsa bar with a variety of red and green salsas that you can use to liven things up.Biggest downside- the food was not hot, barely more than room temperature.Biggest upside- getting an order of tortillas to eat after dinner slathered with honey which they keep on the counter.

Moving son in town and this place was a couple of blocks away so we stopped in for breakfast. Where do I start...this is our 2nd time in 2 days for breakfast. Warning: this place closes at 3pm! 1st morning my son and hubby ordered their top seller, burritos for 5.99 for 2 Texas size flour tortillas stuffed with your choice of sausage or bacon. I had the breakfast plate for 5.59 and it was perfect with the crispy bacon I requested! The food is cooked to order. This place makes 3 kinds of homemade salsa, green tomatillo, hot or mild! They sell the pint for 3.99. It is the best tomatillo sauce I have had. The 2nd morning, we ordered the enchilada breakfast. Choice of enchilda: beef, cheese, or chicken. I had the beef while hubby & son had the cheese. Oh my, the enchilda sauce is amazing! There must be someone's grandmother working back there!!! The plate is enough to feed 2 people with beans with melted cheese, 2 eggs cooked the way you want, 2 delicious homemade enchiladas, and hashbrowns! The beef overflows out of the enchiladas. This is an A+ cafe. Very clean and the staff are very friendly! Wished we had a place like this back home.
