We spent a couple of hours in Valga between trains. First impressions of the town were poor but Lilli's was recommended by the tourist information office.We were surprised and delighted to find this beautiful place, clean freshly decorated and with friendly helpful staff.Food and drink is good to excellent, we particularly enjoyed home made soup and goats cheese salad. Deserts were delicious and all the food made on site. This turned around our view of the town and made for a pleasant and affordable interlude. They are @ 15 minutes walk from the station if you are passing through. The courtyard area offers a pleasant alternative setting if you prefer fresh air.

We dined as part if a tour from Tallinn to Riga with our guide preordering our meal selection. We only opted for main meals, but starter main and dessert was available.The meal that was delivered was delicious and the chicken very with generous portions at affordable prices.Staff are pleasant a and accommodating.The Hotel / Restaurant is is an older beautifully renovated building, where you will dine under the watchful eyes of many game animal trophies.

Quiet, tasty & democratically priced. Serviced in family liked mode. And vegetarian friendly. As extra for Estonian place- they are speaking Latvian ! and English ,too of course.If looking for minuses, found one- a mirror in the rest room would be greatly appreciated by patrons.otherwise
