This was our second visit here. All of our party had escargot for starter, we all loved them.I had baked cod loin which was served with rice and was super succulent. My wife had the sea bass which she absolutely adored and our Aunt had the duck which she could not finish as it was such a big portion, however it was very tasty. All in all the food was spot on but I have to mark them down on service. All staff looked over run and not happy and when being served they seemed to throw the plates at the table. I'm sure it was just very busy and I would definitely go again. Oh one more thing, they could thin the tables out a bit as you seemed to be sitting on top of other people.

Café, Wine Bar, Restaurant for a light bite while you are shopping. French and Italian Cheese, wine and Cold Meat .Sandwich to take away or eat in made with french rustic bread ,
This is a surprising little shop with lots of interestin French food and wine, I popped in for some cheese and charcuterie. I plan to go back on another occasion when I have more time to spare in order to explore in depth what this shop has to offer. It appears to be packed to the rafters with interesting foodstuffs and the proprietor is charming..
This bustling restaurant have everything you need to replenish yourself wether it be sandwiches, or a hot meal before you head to of from the gardens. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is fresh and tasty, And you can enjoy your meal in lovely surrounding. There is also an outdoor patio area.
Probably Romsey's best hidden secret, the little Café upstairs in Rums Eg is great. A lovely little setting for coffee and cake (or a sandwich) and a natter whilst taking in all the local artworks. Great place!
