Saw the pictures, and read the reviews, but the reality fell far short. The bar area was grubby with food smears on the floor so not an enticing entry. The burger was ok but my chicken kebab with vegetables turned out to be four or five large chunks of meat with unappetising charred slices of capsicum and onion in between. It looked as if no chef had any input into this meal. The accompanying flatbread was dry and stale. This is pub grub.Good morning Katie,I am sorry to hear about your visit. We had a wonderful meal whilst reminiscing about our memories of living in this house 52 years ago (previously a greengrocer's) and seeing how it has been transformed into delightful restaurant. A special 60th birthday treat that was emotional and accompanied by delicious food and our hosts care and interest in recollections. Would love to bring back the whole family. Thanks to all of you at Apicius.

Hadn't been for a while, so disappointed to see the price of the all day breakfast had gone up & that a cup of tea was now extra, not included.Food tasted as good as ever, but pricing needs reviewing. I never thought I'd go to a location where an all day breakfast cost £1 more than a lunch of roast chicken.
