Another visit to my favourite restaurant in Olvera. As usual the quality of the food and service was perfect. I started with spinach and chickpea stew followed by Ensaladilla Rusa and then Presa Ibérica all washed down with a lovely red from La Mancha.

Meson Sabor Andaluz

Nice place where to try traditional or elaborated food dishes. Amazing service from waiting and kitchen staff. Don't forget to ask for specials of the day out of the menu. Always using seasonal products. I tried a potato salad with cod, ox tail croquettes and bonito fish on the grill. Everything well paired with a selected national range of wines. On sweet time we enjoyed a homemade flan made up with vanilla from Madagascar and a grilled pumpkin fringe. Only 20min from Ronda and 1h from Malaga.

Cafe Bar Polear

We stopped at Cafe Bar Polear and enjoyed a fabulous lunch of a delicious tomato soup followed by a arugula salad with yogurt and chicken and then mushroom risotto followed by rare tuna all paired with a thoughtful selection of local wines. The staff were incredibly kind and gracious and administered to one of our group who entered the bar covered in blood from a bike accident. The fantastic food, wine and kindness restored our spirits and wounds. Gracias

Bar Frasquito

Reviewed By JRoOntheRoad

While touring Ronda we took a day to tour some nearby villages. Setenil de las Bodegas is definitely worth a visit. We selected Bar Frasquito based on Tripadvisor reviews. We were able to get an outside table and had prompt service. Ordered beers and an order of pescadito fritos. I had the little fried fish all over southern Spain. Enjoyed these mores than most. Some you just eat the whole fish head and all but these were best if you stripped the meat from the bones. The special was 6 small sandwiches (montaditos?) of 3 kinds of filling-- sausage, blood sausage, and pork. Okay but not my favorite thing. Actually the grilled blood sausage was better than I expected. To fully rate the restaurant you would need to try other things on the menu. Note on parking-- do not recommend you turn down the street with the restaurants. It is restricted at times and you have to drive through the table are. We drove up the hill and parked and walked back down to cliff area.
