Me & my friends some of them coming from far away countries really apreciate this wonderful restaurant and the hotel above. It as a wonderful & cozy place entirely in the old Bulgarian traditions as building, as interior and of course as delicious Bulgarian food and the famous Bulgarian wine from the unique local vigniards. By the way 2 of our friends were vegetarian close vegan but they were also fond with the local cuisine - salads, beans meal , grilled vegetables etc

We visited "Chinarite" several times while we were in Melnik - twice for dinner and twice for a light lunch. Service was perfect every time and the waiters were always friendly and attentive which made us feel like being at a relative's place. The food never disappointed us - always fresh and well prepared traditional Bulgarian dishes that felt like home-made. You definitely must try the game - we had the roedeer dish which was awesome. I have to say we had the best red wine for years made from the famous grapes sort of the Melnik region "Shiroka Melnishka loza", home-made of course. Last time we went to the restaurant, we also bought 5 liters for home. Prices are mid-range, similar to the prices at most of the restaurants in Melnik and much cheaper than the prices in the big cities. As we stayed at guest house "Biser", we used 10% discount whenever we ate at the restaurant.

Zornitsa is a wonderfully conceived and executed wine and spa tourism concept that is in short supply in the balkans.Unfortunately the restaurant falls flat. I've dined here 7 or 8 times so far, hoping to see an improvement.I think all the times I can only recall one dish that was delicious and well executed.It is grossly overpriced, and short on taste . It's a shame as the ingredients are high quality, but the chef just doesn't have the experience and it shows. As they say the tools don't make the craftsman and the paint brushes don't make the painter. Similarly this Chef has all the toys and ingredients at his disposal but he needs to go spend 5 or ten years working under a more capable chef before he is ready to be an executive chef.

We arrived at noon just for lunch. The restaurant was not full of people. When we sat on our table the came and prepared it for us thus we made our order. After 20 minutes of waiting and watching several customers eating their food before us when they had only ten minutes in the restaurant we asked a waiter what about our order. Needless to say that he didnât speak English and fortunately we found someone who could speak Greek and translate to him. He said to us that the order had been lost and that we should make our order again and that it will be ready in ten minutes. Of course it wasnât. We waited for around 20 minutes again. Thank god the food was very tasteful and we kind of forgot the bad service. At the end the gave as 4 chocolate soufflé for compliment which were really good. The menu is very nice and has options for every king is taste, but the should really improve their service ...Thank you for your words, your opinion is very important to us.
