Godalming /ˈɡɒdəlmɪŋ/ is a historic market town, civil parish and administrative centre of the Borough of Waverley in Surrey, England, 4 miles (6 kilometres) SSW of Guildford. The town traverses the banks of the River Wey in the Greensand Ridge – a hilly, heavily wooded part of the outer London commuter belt and Green Belt. In 1881, it became the first place in the world to have a public electricity supply and electric street lighting.

Called in for the lunchtime special, £10.95 for 2 courses or Main and a drink. the food was very good, freshly prepared and very tasty, the mussels in a ragu was excellent, the penne chicken and mushrooms also very good. Would thoroughly recommend.

Found the Acorn after an early evening walk around the town to find somewhere to eat. Decidedly better menu than other places, and pleasantly surprised with the experience.Good food with fresh, quality ingredients and competent cooking. Excellent friendly service. Simple, well chosen, wine list. Not foodie heaven, but perfectly acceptable.

Didn't realise that The Mulberry is now under new ownership. We decided on the off chance to book a table and so pleased we did. Great service and friendly attentive staff. People enjoying the late afternoon sun and early evening drinks in the garden. Whilst the Sunday menu was mainly roasts there were a number of other dishes too. Great puddings. Will definitely go back on a regular basis. Would highly recommend

We have been to Cöte on quite a few occasions in different towns. We have never been let down in any way, be it service or quality. We have visited the Godalming branch a couple of times in the past two weeks and just had to sing their praises on here. The food, service and quality is absolutely bang on. We will, of course, be back soon. Thank you to all of you for such a sterling effort. Much appreciated.
