Boyfriend looooves food ( well me too) and is always looking for new places to go to. Since he has a little flat in Isola 2000, French ski resort, we were looking for something nearby and decided to go on the Italian side. He had heard a lot of good about this place and after half an hour drive we finally found the place which we had booked (definitely phone) the day before. We were received by Lovely Woman ( I'm terrible with names so can't remember) and were sat in the garden. It's not a restaurant but more like someone's house. Lovely Woman asked us if we were allergic to anything as it is a set menu and then chose the wine ( most were local wines). We had 4 starters (don't over do it on the first dish), small plates but all traditional or revisited. A main, which was the same size as the starters, but by then you will pretty full and 2 puddings. The food was VERY good, all from homegrown product, and very often came with a little historical explanation. We met different members of the family (son and daughter who all cook with her). I highly recommand this little hidden gem to anyone who want a taste of the real Piemond. Price, coudln't do better: 25 euros per menu (wine not included of course). You'd NEVER find such good price on the cote d'azur.

A friend of us offered us a week end at the Relais del Nazionale and a dinner at their Nazionale Gourmet restaurant Nazionale just in front. It was superb! Christian, the owner and sommelier was super helpful and friendly. We opted for the traditional menu which was excellent. Special mention to the cheeses and the wines Christian chose for us. Fantastic!

Ate here with friends after reading the reviews. Beautiful little restaurant, very Italian, great decor, warm and welcoming. Authentic Italian food and great local wine . Just sit back and let the waiters take care of you while you indulge in gorgeous hams and homemade pasta Itâs a little pricier than other restaurants in the village but you get what you pay for.

The place is small and gets filled quickly. We went there for dinner. The restaurant hours are 8pm-10pm, basically each table gets just one party. Chances are - if you haven't booked in advance you won't get in. We went for the "traditional menu" which included a few veal variations, polenta and homemade pasta. Everything was delicious. There was some fantastic sauce, something like hummus with anchovies which I am definitely going to try to recreate at home. It all came with the biggest bread basket you can imagine. And - there's a very impressive wine list. There was a page+ of Barolo! The menu was â¬37 pp, plus wine. I am giving it 4 stars only because I'd prefer to see more variety on the set menu, not just veal cooked a few different ways. Delicious though!
