Cannot rate this venue highly enough, fabulous staff, really friendly and welcoming... Raymond, the Manager/owner is a really fun larger than life character and a great singer! the entertainment over the 3 nights we stayed in Castleblaney was exceptional... Danced our socks off! would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone visiting the area... itâs a must!

This is a great wee hotel. A bit dated but that's in keeping with the delightful town of Castleblayney. The room we had, a double, was adequate and spotlessly clean. There was a bath and shower which is great if you like choice. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful as were the rest. The bar food was very good, probably the best I've had in a bar in Southern Ireland in a while but the only downside was the waiting staff, although very friendly, were a bit slow! We had five different servers and I can't help thinking that if we had only one appointed to our table, service might be better. Breakfast was lovely, good choices and freshly cooked. One server attended us and the service was excellent. All in all a great stay and I would certainly return.Dear Guest,Thank you for your great review and for your comments, I will be sure to pass them on to the relevant departments. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and indeed the lovely breakfast. We do hope to see you again soon. Kind regards Management
Where to Eat in Castleblayney: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Fresh home cooked meals.
Looks nice but donât be deceived!!!!Very small portions for very large prices. Portion of beans cost 2.50. RIP off. And you could count the number of them, the portion was so small. 12 chips on the plate and were hard. 4 small goujons in the portion. Go to Eileenâs. Hundred times better. Staff extremely rude too which is Rare for this town.
We ate here on our recent trip. The waiter was very friendly and attentive but sadly the food was not good at all. Everything was really bland and unappetising. The meat was tasteless and we ended up leaving most of our meals. Fortunately the coffee was good but Iâm afraid we definitely would not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for authentic Chinese food.
