Things to do in Butterworth
If you've been to nandos you know the drill. The menu is basically the same as the UK, The humus portion was smaller but a pile of bread if was served promptly despite the restaurant being full. The chicken was cooked to perfection. The spicy rice is nice. BUT it's different from the UK so I wasn't overly keen. This is how the spicy rice is in Malaysia so not an actual issue. The peri peri wedges are really delicious. Not oily and crisped to perfection. There isn't too much peri peri salt. For those that want more the waitress brings a shaker over. The all you can drink is served. While I prefer it myself as I find wait staff in chains just brink coke which is too sweet. I was wrong the waiter brought drinks without prompting and coke light every time. Service is automatically added which I don't usually agree with but I'd have topped anyway. The service was friendly and uncomplicated. My fiancé was a nandos first timer and didn't 'get' it hahaah. But we've all been there. Would recommend to anyone.
The atmosphere of the cafe is cozy and surrounded by greeneries. It serves Western breakfast choices such as the usual scrambled eggs, red bean, sausages, toasts, sandwiches etc. Personally, I found the menu to be pricey and the food are of average taste only. But, there is a small stall selling egg tarts & a variety of other pastries within the cafe. Their freshly baked egg tarts and 'Seremban siew pau' are worth coming back for.

Gastromers are always on the hunt for new dining experiences to satisfy their palate.Running out of places to eat in Penang island, a trip across the Penang Bridge to this newly opened Rooftop Restaurant & Wine Bar was worth the change. The restaurant has an open-air concept that allows diners to enjoy the natural atmosphere as well as air conditioned whilst enjoying an open view of the surrounding areas. Interior decorations are simple and appealing and there is an open kitchen, bar section. As there were a few of us, we ordered a variety of both Western and Japanese to savour the taste. For starters and appetizers, we had 1. Katafi prawns 2. Crabmeat cake 3. Smoked Duck breast and mains - Roasted Pork Ramen soup, grilled Salmon with lemon butter & caper sauce and Vongole linguine. The presentation was explicit to appease our savory buds that the taste will be good and they proved right. The restaurant also serves wine but they only sell in bottles at the moment. It would be nice if they start to sell wine by glass in future for those diners who may like to have a glass or two to pair with the cuisine.Who would have guessed that you can enjoy a choice of Western and Japanese fusion in one place? Overall, the trial dining experience across the bridge from the Penang island was a worthwhile journey with good value for money and I would go back to try the other dishes on the menu.

The environment is very good; simple and comfortable. The staffs are very friendly and helpful as there's no photos in their menu, they will recommend on what is the popular dishes and drinks they have. Tried the Full Work, Rosemary Roast chicken and Rose Mint tea, it's delicious! The price is reasonable too.
