Excellent choice if you are in the area. Food is great, location is lovely and staff friendly. Menu is Blackforest/Baden centric meaning all the favourites such as schnitzels and fresh water trout as there but you can add things such as very tasty venison, rabbit, liver and seasonal items. Not only the options but the fact that they were fresh sets Schwarzwaldhaus apart from most in the region. The fact that what we had was very well executed helps too. Only negative is that the prices for some items such as venison and rabbit are quite high, though the staples are market priced.

Das Lokal liegt abseits auf 960 m Höhe und ist ein Naturfreundehaus mit SB. Einfache Inneneinrichtung, allerdings sehr gepflegt und sauber. Da wenig Gäste da waren wurden wir bedient und glaubten es nicht, als die vorgewärmten Teller mit unseren nicht nur schmackhaften Essen kamen, das Auge hatte auch etwas zu tun. Das Lokal wird von einem jungen Paar betrieben und auf (berechtigte) Nachfrage stellte sich heraus, dass der Koch in England in einem Sterne-lokal tätig war. I had the (rather good) risotto, but both my dining companions raved about the trout.Pleasant airy dining room, with friendly Italian waiting staff. Quite full (Saturday night), but service was surprisingly prompt (just as well, as we were in a hurry).It serves pizza (and pasta), but it's not *just* a pizzeria.

Es hätten nicht viel offen auf unserer Fahrt durch den Schwarzwald .Wir gingen ins Café was essen das Essen kam schnell nur leider waren die Teller kalt und das Essen lau warm , im groÃen und ganzen war das Essen nicht schlecht .
