Great American Dining For Breakfast, Lunch Or Earlybird Dinner.
First time here, the place was packed. Well worth the wait. The Eggs Benedict were superb. The make your own omelet was perfectly prepared. Home fries were nicely done. Our server seemed a bit stretched having to answer the phone, take care of the counter area as well as our booth. Definitely will go back again.

I visited at 10:30 a.m. on a week day when the diner was very quiet, but the service was still not great. I had to ask 3 times for extra napkins, and when I had finished my food but not my drink, I came back from the men's room to discover that my entire seating had been cleared. The food itself was very mediocre - they did not even have sliced cheddar cheese for a turkey sandwich, as they apparently only have shredded cheddar. The sandwich itself had about 2 to 3 slices of turkey, which is inadequate. Also, there was a very large insect crawling up the interior window of the diner in plain view of diners. I think that it was something harmless like a praying mantis, but staring at a large and unsightly bug was not exactly appetizing. I would definitely skip this restaurant when in Albany.

Traditional American Diner serving Breakfast and Lunch only, six days a week. Daily specials, homemade soups, in-house roasted Turkey and Roast Beef, quality/ fresh ingredients used and all meals made to Oder.
This diner is a blast from the past. It's small inside; just like diner cars were/are. There is outdoor seating in good weather. Seating is in booths with a couple of chairs. Plenty of parking and a gas station/convenience store next door for travelers. Service is quick and the food is good - many local patrons. Prices are good. If you are into diners, this is a definite stop.

My eggs were good but the grits had zero love in them. My husband liked his potatoes and omelet. The coffee is a little on the weak side. Service was great. I didnât love the music they played, but thatâs not huge. Itâs a very old diner and has been around forever. I was thinking theyâd play 50âs or 60âs music instead of the rap they were playing.
