Easy access and parking near the corner of Carrollton and St Charles. Diner-like eatery with approximately 20-25 barstool seats. White cloth napkins and amazing service up front let you know this is not your typical diner. Good menu that leans more toward breakfast than lunch. Prices are very reasonable.I had a omelet that I would place in top 10. My wife and uncle (from NJ) had traditional eggs, bacon and toast. All very well prepared. My aunt had a BLT and was very happy with her meal. Lots of bacon! Friendly staff and lots of locals. Great stop. Will be back. Watch the weekday hours- they close early.

Donât let the exterior and interior shabby appearances turn you off. Thereâs no doubt that the place could use a makeover. Get over it, because the meals coming out of the City Dinerâs kitchen are super. Shantal was a wonderful server with excellent menu insights. Joe and Spencer in the kitchen cooked up some delicious dishes. Try some of the local creations, such as the âBottom of the Bowlâ (crawfish, shrimp & crabmeat in a Cajun cream sauce in a bread bowl) or the âShrimp & Andouille Hash Brownsâ (shrimp, andouille, two eggs (I recommend scrambled) and Cajun cream sauce over hash browns). They earned another trip to City Diner when weâre nearby.

Closed due to damage suffered in Hurricane Katrina.
Stopped in here for a quick lunch. Ordered a turkey Po'boy...it was a great sandwich!! It's an older style diner with an old fashioned cash register to accentuate its charm. They offer a wide variety of menu items to please. This place is busy for a reason.

Classic American, 50's style Diner. 6 locations, 4 are 24 hours. Burgers for Breakfast or Pancakes and Bacon for Dinner....no problem!!! "I'm not your Mama but you're always at home at Dots Diner." Free WiFi This location open 24 hours.
Love Dots at Jefferson Hwy at Labarre. But since the other Dots closed down a few months ago this location has been getting slammed. I was under the impression that when the parking lot was added they were also going to make the kitchen larger as well as the restaurant itself. The remodel is amazing and really brightened the place up. My hubby and I have been coming to this location for longer than I can remember and now its getting difficult to find seating on Sunday mornings since the closure of the other one. I think you really need to seriously rethink adding on if at all possible. The wait staff is doing a remarkable job keeping up with the demand but they can only do so much. Each week I see many people leaving due to the wait.We truly appreciate you and your husband and thank you for your patience during this adjustment and growth. In time, we plan to do some kitchen expansion, but until then, we thank you for your patience and patronage. Wishing you the best this holiday season.
