Not fancy, kind of a dump, but some of the best hamburgers and home made soup you'll ever have. Been eating there for 25 pllus years.
Really good home made soups and pretty good burgers. Bean soup and chicken dumpling are mad fresh and really good.

Returned to Manitowoc to visit family and made my mandatory stop at Late's. Though recently remodeled, the food and service remains unchanged since the days I came here in high school The best combination remains the same--the perch lunch with fried cheese curds. It can't be bit. The only change I would recommend is that you accept debit or credit cards for those of us who don't like to travel with large amounts of cash.

Was there with a group of people for a meeting. It was a little tight, but the food made up for it. Great tasting, good amounts, and great service.

I'd be willing to give Warrens a very good rating if it weren't for the cleanliness issues. We've been stopping in for the past 10 years at my husband's request and have never been disappointed with the lunches (they have great coleslaw!) or the price (where can 2 people get a good, home cooked lunch for $12 these days?) Until recently, we hadn't stopped in for about a year and I was surprised to see what I believed to be a new paint job and new tablecloths which made the place look more appealing than I remembered. However, the dirty carpeting still makes me cringe and the torn seats in the booths are disgusting. These are my suggestions - at the very least, get a carpet sweeper and use it routinely and invest in some duct tape to cover the tears in the seats so that customers aren't sitting on dirty foam stuffing. Both are not costly and would help clean the place up without causing it to lose its charm of years gone by.
