We probably ate at Louie's more when it was downtown, then at its current location; but we still stop in from time to time (usually before or after an afternoon movie).A no-frills small facility; it's clean and well maintained. The staff are usually friendly and attentive. There are a number of items on the menu; but for us Louie's means a couple bakes and coneys, with fries and a drink. It's not haute cuisine; but it's tasty, and it certainly evokes the memories. And, it is a Kokomo tradition.

I grew up in the sixties where we used to enjoy getting a chocolate phosphate soda or maybe a cherry phosphate. If a soda made right in front of you is not to your liking they will create any number of floats sandwiches. Great place for lunch.

It is a hole in the wall type place...feel like you fall back into the 1970's Mel's Diner....staff is excellent...portions are large...cheap prices...food great...most of the seating is counter or two person booths...I am recommending if you drive by give them a try...won't be disappointed!
