Diggers Diner was hard to find because it is tucked away in a small strip of storefronts. But... it was worth the effort locating them because our breakfast was very good. We shared the large Cinnamon Roll covered in cream cheese icing and thoroughly enjoyed it!

If you want a good vibe and some classic diner food, this is the place. It is almost always busy, with a friendly wait-staff. The omelets are very good, as are the traditional breakfasts. For lunch I particularly like the (small) tri-tip salad. There is inside and outside seating, and parking isn't too hard. The restaurant is within walking distance of Diablo Valley College and several buses pass close by. It is not within walking distance of a BART station.

This is the second time we've come to Bay Leaf Cafe for breakfast. The restaurant is located on a quiet street a few blocks from Todos Santos Plaza. The breakfast ("served all day") menu is wonderful with all sorts of omelet creations at very reasonable prices. The ambiance is humble (part of its charm) and the service is great.Definitely a winner!

Stopping for a club sandwich break on long trip, son Dan and I enjoyed the service of an Asian waitress with a sense of humor. While Denny's is seldom chosen for a significant meal, it is oh so reliable and steady. Almost anywhere in the country you can count on their steadiness. I go for the senior specials, happy to be older.
