This is one of those places that serves up classic diner food in a diner setting. Service is always good. It's a little hidden away, inside a Ramada off the interstate. I've been there several times now and it has always been a solid hit with the family.

I visited ihop for the first time. The place was full rush and We had to wait for atleast 40min to get the seat.I ordered rooty frooty pancakes which is mostly recommended item on internet but the pancakes i got were just normal pancakes with peach topping. It was nothing great. The garden omelette was ok after adding some salt and pepper. The banana french toast was the only item i liked the most out of all we ordered. We also ordered crepes with peach the cream in that was kindof sour to me and i dint like it i should have told them but We were full by the french toast and omelette so the crepes were togo and we ate after coming home :-(

Ramada Inns are traditionally expensive hotels that offer HIGH QUALITY FREE breakfast. Not at the Ankey Iowa Ramada Inn.You PAY FULL PRICE having to eat at the restaurant. thanks for stopping in, Im sorry you had a bad experience. you should have been given vouchers at the hotel which would have entitled you to a free breakfast.

This place offers everyday solid American home cooked food. It's a little like going back in time with its classic small town feel with locals sitting at the counter talking about politics and family. Don't expect upscale or gourmet here. Wait staff are courteous and efficient. And menu items are very inexpensive.
