Either I'm in the Twilight Zone or there's more than one Max's Delicatessen at 1484 Route 23 in Wayne. I was looking for some subs ... Apparently they don't sell them (or wraps) or so I was told. (I went to Blimpee in the same mall for my sub.) From Max's I was able to get a huge Sloppy Joe - too huge in fact and less the traditional swiss cheese. Huge and expensive - more than $10 and not satisfying without the swiss cheese. I'll go back because I keep hearing good things about Max's ... I guess I'll have to stick with sandwiches rather than subs ...BTW, it looks like Trip Advisor has a stock photo or a photo of another restaurant. The Max's I went to was a smallish deli - the one shown on their website.

We've been making salads since before they were cool. We believe a salad is only as good as where it comes from. That's why we source the best growers for bigger taste. It's why we chop fresh all day, every day. From our kale to our carrots to our quinoa
This is a great concept which it's proprietor's have almost mastered. No longer does one have to "prune" ingredients they do not want. Most bistros that serve salads give their customers the same thing record producers used to give purchasers of albums by their favorite artists. Here YOU decide what is servedEverything is high quality and fresh and can be ordered online before you get there or pick up an order. Wish other restaurants did that in offering entrees with vegetables and other extras .Thank you for your business! We're glad we exceeded your expectations.

Just what I want from a deli. Well done bagels, rolls, and sandwiches, served quickly, and all of it reasonably priced. It's not a fancy joint and there is limited seating inside (two tables), but there is always a line inside at the counter and the food is very good.
