Jim's Deli has prospered at this location for such a long time because the staff is friendly and caring. My sister from Atlanta, Ga. was visiting with us when Superstorm Sandy hit. My section of Uniondale had no power but Jim's deli did. Every morning my sister would walk to Jim's Deli for a Bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and tea. She said the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even charged her cell phone for her while her sandwich was being prepared and always had a clean table for her to just sit and relax and watch the morning news. They are caring, courteous, community minded, and quick with their service.

This is a classic old German Deli with good sandwiches and salads. The German potato salad is really good. We picked up two turkey heroes with side orders of their potato salad.
