Warm welcome, beautiful dining room with an open fire which roared all evening giving out a wonderful heat and atmosphere. We (4) all ordered Gambiaâs al ajillo which was fabulous and then shared 2 chateaubriand which was seared on the outside and blue in the middle. A small barbecue was placed in the centre of the table so you could finish the beef to your liking.Overall a wonderful experience, good value and we will certainly eat there again.Thank you guys...Muchas gracias por su valoración. We have been suggested to visit few restaurants in Marbella and 1870 was one of them. As is was closest drive to our location we went there one night.We was offered a tour of the restaurant and told a story behind however that was nothing comparing to the food we got. I do jot have enough words to describe how good it was. My only problem with good restaurants is when I really like a dish - I always order the same and donât want experiments) however when we came for the second time they already run out of meat main course I liked (veal rib)and I was offered another option (lamb) and when I got it it was as perfect as previous one. So for the next visit I will have only one problem - what to chose)

At last a decent restaurant in Banus!We had a delicious meal starting with Beef cheek in chilli and chocolate sauce, followed by suckling pig with jus and delicious slow cooked lamb. All of the food was executed brilliantly. Wine with our meal was very reasonably priced . The service was great and Eric (not v Spanish I know but he assured us he was) the chef and proprietor along with his mum run a first class establishment.
