Weâve been coming here for many years and have always enjoyed exceptional meals and service. This is without a doubt the best restaurant on the Eastside and in the top 3 for the greater Seattle area.Dined here recently and had the Rack of Lamb. Best ever, period. They used to have a Saddle of Lamb that was very good but the Rack with three generous ribs blew me away.Thereâs a reason Holly is a James Beard winner. This place is consistently excellent.John Davidson

Great atmosphere, great service and friendly staff. Since we have food allergies we enjoy eating here for dinner because of their food options, no gluten, vegan menu. Happy Hour menu is great! The bacon wrapped dates are awesome! I would prefer a mashed white or sweet potato option however in place of the turnip tasting option they offer, which does not taste very good. We live the Fish and fish, very tasty!Thank you for your feedback, Cathy! Come see us again soon - our seasonal menu is about to change and sweet potato mash will be an option!

Purple Café and Wine Bar pairs a global wine selection with a menu that combines classic American styles with seasonal Northwest ingredients..
I went for lunch with a colleague. I ordered the cranberry chicken salad, which was delicious. The next day we went back for the special Wednesday fried chicken dinner. It was super heavy (not a light crispy, crunchy coating) and thick coat of breading that had more chew than crunch. The accompanying biscuit was tasty.

The very good: fresh ingredients, welcoming and friendly staff (including the owners who gave us a tour before dinner), and nice selection for the wine pairing. Not so good: we had mushroom as our theme, and after 4-5 dishes (10 in total), we really had enough. Mushrooms did not need to be front and center for every single dish.Overall, a very good experience, but I can't say its a lifetime bucket list type place.4Alexnyc, thank you for your posting. We do have many different themes throughout the year. Folks who come for the Mycologist's Dream seem to expect lots of mushrooms. I do hope you will be able to join us for a different theme in the future that may be a bit more up your alley. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you again. Carrie
