Reviews on Chinese food in Ulm, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. Founded in the mid-9th century, Ulm enjoyed a long history as a free imperial city, ruled only by the Holy Roman Emperor with no pesky princes in between. An important trade town for centuries, Ulm was also the birthplace of Albert Einstein. Rising 530 feet, Ulm Minster has the world’s tallest steeple, the top of which can be reached via 768 steps. Ulm’s younger sister city, Neo Ulm (or New Ulm) lies just across the Danube River and is part of Bavaria rather than Baden-Wurttemberg.

Asia Van is known for its fresh, flavorful and healthy Southeast Asian cuisine. We only use fresh vegetables which we stir-fry in a wok to intensify the flavor while preserving vitamins. In our kitchen we do not use cream, butter and other animal fats and

We had Sushi only (but a lot). The place has all types of Asian food to offer. The place is not super cosy, but the food makes up for it. The owner was very welcoming and served with a smile. The Sushi was very nice and the quality was great.

We kept our expectations rather low due to our avarage experience with Chinese food in Germany.First surprise is that the menu is not devided into sections according to ingredients: chicken, pork, beef etc. as it is usualy case in Germany (Europe). A hope that we may get some real Chinese strated to arise-). The lady serving us reassured us that all the dim-sums are home made: wow!We ordered some standard meals and a few we did not know. What we recived was a REAL chinese food. Each dish was tasting very good and differently (as often they just poor the same sauce over different meats). You could taste fresh ginger and spices! It is definitevely the best Chinese restaurant in town (well this is not a great achievement since Ulm is small) but this was the best Chinese meal we have had outside of Asia for a long, long time!

Versatile Asian restaurant with regular table service or widely varied buffet, or you can select your ingredients and have them cooked for you. A little confusing at first, but really good food and fine service.
