While driving through Parksville we saw the sign and had to try it. When we entered we were greeted by the owner who could not have been nicer. We ate family style and shared soup, dumplings, pork buns and chow mein. The soup and dumplings were excellent and we all agreed they tasted home made. I would highly recommend dropping by if youâre near Parksville.

CHINA GARDEN RESTAURANT - Inspection ReportRoutine Inspection June 26, 2018This facility was given a HIGH HAZARD rating. 102 - CRITICAL - Food Not Protected From Contamination - MicroFound chicken legs being thawed (operator stated it was being "rehydrated") in the janitor's sink using the mop bucket hose. This same observation was found during the last routine inspection (February 2, 2018). On the previous report the operator was directed to cease this practise. The results of today's inspection show the operator has not complied with these requirements. This practise creates an immediate hazard of contaminating food with debris that originated from the floors.
