Kiraku has been around for generations in the small village of Torisawa in the city of Otsuki. It is about 2 minutes walking directly across Route 20 from JR Torisawa Station. The specialty of the house is Chashu Ramen which is a hearty bowl of competent ramen noodles topped with huge chunks of roasted pork chashu. Be sure to order chashu ramen and not regular ramen. Chashu ramen will have the massive chunks of roast pork. The regular ramen will have the regular portion size of pork in it.

My wife and I stopped here on the way back from Kawaguchiko. It's only a few minutes walk from Tsurubunkadaigakumae station. The best way I can describe it is healthy Chinese izakaya. It's a bar, but with healthy Chinese food. Actually, the food is amazing. Not usual izakaya food and not usual Chinese food. The chicken was juicy with a little bit of sauce, not too sweet. The roast beef was cooked perfectly. The salad and vegetables made it a good balanced meal. The room was very comfortable. I was so glad we stopped here.
