On-line reviews convinced us this would be a special place to dine on our visit to Morgantown, PA. Zou's Garden came well recommended by locals too. So we tried it on a Monday evening. We had to do take-out rather than dine-in; saw about 10 people waiting for take-out & took this as a good sign. We found the food uneven in quality. Scallion pancakes [on the menu called Chinese pizza] fully delivered on the hype. Flaky and light, these compared with Hong Kongâs best!! A house special veggie ma funâportion large enough for 4 people--- needed additional sauce but otherwiseâabove average quality and flavor. Veg kung paw [meatless chicken], again a very large porton, lacked even hints of peanut butter, peanuts or discernable chilis to our palates. The protein, whatever it was, overcoated in a gooey, gummy batter disappointed. Both plain rice [with the inevitable frozen peas] and fried rice sides exhibited adequate texture & flavor. Veggie spring rolls tasteless though wrapper nicely fried. The very friendly & accommodating staff impressed us favorably. An amazing Flowerhorn cichlid fish lives in an aquarium inside the restaurantâf youâve never seen one, itâs worth a stop just to see him!!

We have been patrons of Good Friend for about 6 years. From our experience it is common for the quality of food in Chinese restaurants to deteriorate over time, but not so with Good Friend. Nothing fancy but very good.
Most Popular Bar food in Morgantown, Pennsylvania, United States
I generally find some redeeming quality in my reviews. And the redeeming quality here is that they serve fortune cookies and provide chopsticks. This is a lousy place for Chinese food. I ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, General Tso Chicken, Pepper Beef and Noodles. I ordered white rice, but received fried rice. The food was greasy and had a flavor reminiscent of melted Styrofoam.Seating is very limited, and parking is very tight on the side of the building in a narrow lot. I will not eat here again, but I will drive to neighboring Morgantown or Elverson the next time I want Chinese for dinner.

My favorite Chinese food comes from this restaurant. It has little atmosphere, but if you can overlook this, the food is definitely worth trying. We use it for both take out and dine in. A surprisingly good dish is the coconut chicken with steamed veggies--very tasty and unusual.
