The menu is inexpensively priced. The location is small with limited seating. It seems the staff tries to make you welcome but fall just a little short. My wife, 6-YO son and I walked in and were seated quickly. Our order was taken relatively quickly. Soup and egg roll were delivered before our beverages - no flatware yet. The entrees were delivered - still no flatware or drinks - we asked. Finally drinks. Then the flatware. Food quality was not high. The rice appeared as though it had been made and sat for a while. The chicken was rubbery like it had been sitting in a warming tray for too long. The best part of the meal was the water chestnuts and bamboo shoots. Hot mustard is in small condiment packaging.Total cost for two entrees and two soft drinks was right at $20 including a tip.

We always stop at this Biffet on our way home from the Delaware Arts Festival every year. I guess the fact that we always stop says a lot about this place. Large buffet, nice dessert choices, never seems too crowded but always a crowd.
A friend and I were freezing, it was Valentine's eve and all the restaurants were beyond packed! This 'hole in the wall' was perfect! quiet with background noise, a few others quietly dining, dimmed lighting. All we wanted to start was hot tea. We got a huge hot pot, not hot water, but already brewed, it was perfect!! The waitress gave us plenty of time to look over our menus and answered all of our questions. We decided on the dinner combo which includes the entree, your soup choice, an appetizer plate (egg roll, rib, breaded shrimp), your choice of steamed or fried rice. I was so hungry, I couldn't decide on what to order. The waitress was so nice, giving us plenty of time. We asked what she recommended, she gave Hong Sue Gai. I had read about the selection and it sounded good. Since I had never had it before, I decided to give it a try. What I like best was the food came out at perfect intervals. I've never had wonton soup and it was very tasty! the noodles were not overdone and the broth was peppery, the green onions fresh! I enjoyed it - I could have had without the pork. Next came the appetizer dish, I requested sweet/sour sauce - even though it was on the table, the waitress understood I like the orange sauce, so she included it. I burned my mouth on the egg roll, but it was worth it, it was so fresh, the cabbage was falling out. The rib sauce was good, couldn't put my finger on the spice, but sweet. I passed on the shrimp, because I am not a seafood person. The Hong Sue Gai was very delicious - it is crisp fried chicken served with Chinese greens, served in a brown simmering sauce. First let me say, I went to cut with a knife - no need, very tender. Let me back up, the chicken and veggies come out on a serving plate and the rice in a small dish. You are given a large dish to portion out what you want. Best part, you choose which veggies you prefer. Not a much into mushrooms, they'll hold. Like water chestnuts, they'll add more. I had more than enough food. I left full. I enjoyed my fortune cookie afterwards. No complaints here!!

So, I don't know what would make anyone who doesn't speak Chinese think that they know drama when they can't understand it. I speak Chinese, and they're just like any other restaurant that, when busy, is constantly talking to each other. Just because you don't like the tone of a tonal language doesn't mean it's hostile. That's so ignorant. The place tastes great, cost isn't McDonalds, but also not expensive. For $7, a combo is a great thing.
