Reviews on Chinese food in Arrecife, Canary Islands, Spain. Arrecife (/ˌærəˈsiːfeɪ/; Spanish pronunciation: [areˈsife]) is a city and municipality in the Canary Islands (Spain) situated in the centre-east of the island of Lanzarote, of which it has been the capital since 1852. The city owes its name to the rock reef ('Arrecife' is Spanish for 'reef') which covers the beach located in the city. The city also gives its name to the nearby Arrecife Airport.

This is primarily a Japanese restaurant which also has other Asian cuisines. The courses from starter to main have at least 15 choices for each. After a poor experience with sushi in another restaurant I decided to try a variety of dishes. The starter was a Japanese roll rather like a wun tun. This was followed by three pieces of salmon nori. Even though previously frozen it was very tasty. Lastly I had a vegetable and prawn tempura containing two large prawns and cooked to perfection. I am very impressed with this restaurant and will certainly return. I hope the photos show the quality of the food and presentation. It was very quiet on a Monday lunchtime.

Recommended by locals and we were not disappointed. Friendly staff, nicely prepared food and incredible selection of dishes available almost too many. A couple of small observations for the Restaurant owners, warm or hot plates to serve food and eat food from would be much better and not so keen on you using processed Chicken pieces in the Curry? Still would return on another day.

We read the reviews and thought we would be in good authentic Chinese restaurant territory...but that was not the experience. The starters....ouch Tempura vegetables were not as described or pictured....instead think of the scraps box in your local chippy and add a few badly clarted vegetables....it was awful. The Malaysian spring rolls were average. For mains we had a decent crispy duck dish and a very poor noodle dish.Service was polite quick. Drinks were ok. Prices ok.ORDER CAREFULLY.

Not only the food is excellent but the family who run it are so friendly you feel like one of the family yourself. We have been here so many times over the last three years and are treated so genuinely each and every time we go in or even walk past on our many trips out.
