Went here for breakfast today and there was a lineup outside waiting to get in. The staff advised they did not know how long it would be. We waited. And waited. A party of 5 who arrived well after us was let in ahead of those who had been waiting. Not cool.Once inside found the food to be just average. Our table had the eggs benny, banana French toast (should be a dessert), and the veggie omelette. Sorry Food Art, you blew it.Hi TravellingSherpa,Sorry for the long wait, Father's Day was a crazy day! We did have a line up out the door that day and it's so hard to guess how long it will take as people will often pay their bill, but then sit back and relax for a while to finish their coffee. It's a challenge for our servers. They don't want to tell someone that it will be a 10 minute wait and have that turn into half an hour or worse an hour! :( Many people did come in and add their name to our waitlist and let us know that because they could see that it would be a long one, they were going to walk about for a bit and come back. This is why it must have appeared to you that a party of 5 had cut in line. Sorry for the misunderstanding and miscommunication. I can see how that could have been misinterpreted!Like all our homemade goodness, the Banana French Toast is a delicious treat, something that I guess is up to each person to decide if they are in a sweet or savoury mood.We appreciate your feeback and .hope your 2019 Father's Day and all future Dad celebrations are filled with joy and yumminess!Thanks for giving us try and we hope to see you back again, in future.

We have ordered from Whitby Station Restaurant several times with Skip the dishes and weâve never been disappointed. Thereâs something for everyone and the food is delicious!! Must Tries are the eggs benedict, burgers and my favourite is the banana bread french toast. So good ! My husband and I went for breakfast last Sunday and it was busy. The restaurant is newly opened. Itâs simple but inviting atmosphere is great! The restaurant looked clean and there is plenty of space to sit comfortably and not feel as crammed in like most breakfast restaurants. Great for families and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and apologized for the wait for our food. The young sisters that run the restaurant are very nice. They take the time to chat, fill your coffee cup regularly and thank you personally for coming. We already loved their food and now that we have been to the restaurant and met the hardworking young ladies behind Whitby Station Restaurant...We are huge fans and will definitely be back again! The best banana bread waffles I have ever had. Try something from their wide variety and Iâm sure you will have a new favourite or favourites. lol. Support local business. Always looking to check out a place I have never been, we came into this place for a coffee. Quant and small, nicely decorated for the season, there were many things to choose from. Coffees, many canned teas, specials, a small amount of tables... a nice place for a small meeting, date, goodies (Yogurt with lots of flavors and toppings by weight) for you or kids. Great place to go while walking about Brooklin. We had a very decent caramel latte, and a very regular coffee with cream. The latte very good. Parking easily off road behind the place, A good burger place next door. Lots of various Teas to choose from, OOlong and such. Heavy duty breakfast smoothies (one with Macha I would try) Prices what you expect for this kind of place. Next time, I will go for some kind of fancy yogurt.

My husband and I shop here every Saturday. I stock up on irn bru soda for the week and shrimp chips. My husband grabs apple fritters and stroopwaffles. They have the best apple fritters anywhere made fresh each day. If you go bright and early on Saturday you might even get lucky and get a BAKED apple fritter. These ones are our favourite and only on saturdays. They go fast so you have to go early. When we feel like splurging they have tons of other baked goods like pastries and sausage rolls and cheeses. There is also a freezer in the back with very good croquette, frikandel, pea soup and other Dutch goodies.
