This used to be a reliable breakfast spot, but with the new name, the quality has diminished. After being greeted by a hostess with âWhatâ, which she said twice so I have to assume it wasnât a mistake, we were escorted to our table. My silverware was dirty (ok, it happens). Our food came out and it was below average. My french toast was made with seeded rye bread which didnât meld well with the âcitrus infusedâ egg mixture. The bacon was fatty and undercooked. My fellow diners got eggs mansfield, but the eggs were more hard-boiled than poached. The other diner ordered bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel. It arrived minus cheese on a thin, dry bagel. Based on this I wonât return-despite a new menu that looked great, unfortunately the execution left something to be desired.

At 2pm, the pastries were tired and unappetizing. Espresso was a terrible experience: the person using the machine appeared to be using it for the first time. The resulting espressos were too big and bitter. I visited this kaffeehaus when it was serving the new beer and it was much better. Especially disappointing as our other Von Trapp resort experiences were excellent.
