The cocido was delicious but the rest of the meal was uninspiring, bland and over priced (even as part of a 14 Euro meal of the day). The seafood stuffed peppers were awful. Not a recognisable ingredient (except potato). The place looks good, but it doesn't live up to the image. Not a good advertisement for Santillana.

Santillana Del Mar is a tourist hot spot so maybe the staff don't feel as if the have to work to hard to get custom. However on our visit we were the only customers in the cafe and it appeared to be a real hassle for the staff to serve us and also for us to pay our bill. The only real positive I can think about Cafe Avendia was that the toilets were nice and clean, always a plus point in any establishment.

This restaurant is really special. The service, the food, the atmosphere- everything! You get to cook your own steak on a hot stone but if you're not a meat person there are lots of great fish options too! The deserts are also amazing- everything is home made and just so tasty! If you get the chance to go here, don't miss out!!

Sin lugar a dudas los mejores croissants que he comido nunca. Tiernos , con un sabor exquisito.Una pena que la pastelerÃa me quede un poco lejos , sino serÃa cliente habitual fijo.
