We ate here 3 times in our short week vacation in Aruba. Real Dutch food : Zuurkool, Boerenkool, Hutspot with rook worst, excellent french fries and great "bitterballen". Seating is mostly outside. Located near the urgent care. Seats are a bit hard. Lots of Dutch people frequent this place.

Antesala Cafe

The best coffee on the island (humbly, yet confidently stated)! Excellent food. Unique environment. Great people. Locally owned.

Local friends reccomended this cafe. It did not live up to the hype. We were told it was an excellent place for lunch, however the menu was limited to paninis wrAps and soups ( $ 7 FOR A BOWL OF SOUP....) The staff was friendly but a bit clueless when asked about the menu items. In fact the young man at the register seemed a bit put out that we were disturbing his phone activities. Then when we went to pay, we were informed that they did not accept credit cards, only cash and "maestro" swipe. Luckily we were able to scrape the cash together. When asked where we could get cash , we were told the ATM nearby...which was NOT within walking distance. Overall a big disappointment. Not going back there next year!

I ate and hung out here for almost a month during my yoga teacher training, fall 2017, and the atmosphere was so stunning and beautiful, but also cozy and inviting. The staff was always warm and friendly, the cafe and garden were super clean and well-maintained, and the food was AMAZING. This is a great spot to hang out, relax, make friends, and enjoy some good food, drinks, and smoothies. Highly recommend and I can't wait to go back!
