"Espresso bar, gourmet sandwiches & salads, seasonal homemade soup, wine by the glass and specialty gifts".
Cannot say enough about the great paninis we had for lunch. The Chipolte Turkey and Poblano Popper panini were both fresh and delicious! The iced tea was also flavorful. We will certainly be back and try some of the coffees too!

Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch, this spot with a cozy interior, welcoming waitstaff who keeps your Coffee cup full and walls filled w/fun memorabilia is a great way to start the day. A large breakfast selection has something for everyone from various breakfast Egg combinations, pancake & waffle selections, Hash Browns w/crisp exteriors, Eggs Benedict and my favorite: an Omelette of paper thin, folded-over layers of scrambled egg w/finely chopped onions, green peppers, tomatoes, diced ham & yes, a soft American cheese thru out...Fabulous!

The food here has been steadily declining since the first time we ate here about 15 years ago. It's always busy, but I think it's habit and not the food that brings people back.I had a Belgian waffle, when it arrived it was barely warm and so tough I had to cut it with a knife. Although this is all I ordered, the server did not even comment on why I hadn't eaten even half of it. I was supposed to get two waffles for $3.99 and the server said they now came as one large one. If that was a large waffle, previously they must have been very tiny. I would have done better to have bought a package of frozen toaster waffles. My husband's eggs and bacon could have been warmer too.The service was bad. There were four people working the floor and the place is not very big; yet they still couldn't keep up. A couple who arrived after us received their meal before us and we received ours at about the same time as another couple who had been there before us. By the looks of their anguish in trying to keep their baby occupied, they had been there for quite awhile.
At Northern Grounds Coffeehouse, we're pouring love into the Northwoods, one cup at a time. Stop in for gourmet coffee, tea offerings, natural energy drinks, locally baked pastries and more! We can't wait to meet you!
