We've loved Chicory for a couple of years now. We always ordered them through Dine In because they were just a drive tad too far for us. But when they opened the Mishawaka restaurant it was perfect. We can literally walk to the restaurant then take a walk around the river walk on our way home. Plus they have the patio which has giant sized games and is pet friendly. Plus they were kind enough to help my fiancee with his proposal! Friendly staff and great atmosphere.

Stopped here for breakfast after spending the night in Mishawaka. Ordered the corned beef hash which was excellent! They offer a regular order and mini order. I ordered the mini and it comes with toast and 1 egg. The hash was homemade with potatoes and onions. Nice and crispy! Hubby had hash browns, bacon and muffin. No complaints from him! We were there at 6:30 and even though it was early the parking lot was full. But we were seated immediately.

Wandered over to Kristin's after church, as we'd been meaning to do for awhile. Wow! Should have come here much sooner. Just really good, no nonsense breakfast with tasty creative touches. I had the German breakfast, half order as our server suggested, just the right amount of food. Husband got one of the weekend specials, slow-roasted pot roast hash. Again, wow! Fabulous pot roast with potatoes, cheese & eggs, what's not to like? I can see this becoming our favorite breakfast place!

We stopped by South Bend on our way to Illinois from New York because we were hoping to see Mayor Pete and visit the city he has spoken/written about. We knew we had to stop at Peggs. We are glad that we did. We came into the restaurant close to closing, but they were so accommodating and not at all in a rush to get us out. We ordered a variety of items among us -- breakfast, a burger, and a salad. Everything was great! They are super friendly and also make good coffee:) We also got a Pete 2020 t-shirt as well.
