Service was prompt with the delivery of good food. I had the pancake breakfast while my wife had a sandwich from the lunch menu. Two pancakes filled up the 230lb guy while the lunch was light enough for the wife. This restaurent is Vet friendly.

I normally go to a different Another Broken Egg, but was in the Madison area this time. First, they do both have the same problem: they're slammed, 30+ minute waits, in the morning on weekends, but they only have a waiting area indoors for about 5 people. So everyone else has to wait outside in the sun/rain/cold with no covering. For Madison specifically:They didn't seem to be filling tables efficiently. It's frustrating to be sitting out in the sun and see an empty table just sitting for 15 minutes. It took way too long for the food to come out (compared to the HSV location). When it did come, the waffles were cold (not refrigerator-cold, but have been sitting for a while not under a heat lamp), and the bacon was SO greasy. Insanely greasy. The grease was so thick it had its own texture on top of the bacon greasy. Refills were not fast. The table we were sat at didn't have sugar or silverware (had to ask for both). And it is pretty expensive, so I expect the food to be slightly higher quality than what we got. Especially after sitting in the sun for 30 minutes. The Huntsville location has usually been great (except when they dropped my name from the waitlist), so I suggest trying there instead, or try Madison early in the morning before they get busy. Say, around 8 AM.We are sincerely sorry for the poor experience you had at our cafe, Luna-Kay. We strive to serve our guests perfectly cooked with dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients as well as provide hospitable, timely service all around. We appreciate your feedback and have reviewed the concerns you have raised with our management team. Again, we apologize we did not uphold our values during your visit and hope you will give us another chance in the future.

Breakfast and Lunch with Weekend Brunch! NOLA-inspired lunch menu with home cooking and fresh, made to order beignets! Private party on-site catering available afternoons and evenings.
Visit #2 for breakfast. The beignets are huge and the food is on point. Tried the dirty grits this time which truly hit the spot. Great change of pace from the usual. We have only been able to visit for breakfast so I canât speak for lunch and dinner but breakfast hasnât disappointed yet. Staff is friendly. Love having local places to support instead of the stale chains.Thank you! So happy for your support. Come and definitely try lunch or dinner. Some fun menu changes coming in the next couple of months as well. Thanks again!!
While on a road trip with my two grandsons, they commented that had driven past dozens of Waffle Houses on previous vacations, but they had never eaten at one. So, this being a âguys road tripâ ignoring parental limitations and relying on grandpas âgood judgmentâ, we remedied that by going to the Waffle House in Madison AL next to our hotel. It was a late Sunday morning breakfast and when we arrived there was only one parking stall available in the lot so I knew the place was packed. Sure enough all the tables were occupied, but there were 3 seats at the counter; which we took. Of course, we each ordered a waffle â I had a pecan waffle, one of my grandsons had a chocolate chip waffle while the other chose a plain waffle. We each had an order of bacon. Despite how busy it was, our food arrived quickly. My waffle was loaded with pecans and there was an abundance of chocolate chips on my grandsonâs waffle. They were good, large waffles that were hot and very good. The waffles were a âstandardâ waffle so they were a little thinner and denser than a Belgian variety. While the waffles were very good, the syrup was a nondescript maple syrup and nothing out of the ordinary. I was disappointed also that the waffles were not served with butter; but used a butter substitute instead.Because we were sitting at the counter, we had a panoramic view of the staff hustling to make the meals â which was not always a very appetizing sight. It was also obvious that the sink and dish cleaning area was located just across the counter from where we were eating. While this is not always the most pleasant view and surely not part of the contemporary restaurant design, it is the âclassic dinerâ atmosphere that I grew up going to and something that I think makes the Waffle House a unique experience. The Waffle House is an iconic, no frills chain because you know what you get â decent food, quick service at a good price. That is exactly want we experienced at the Waffle House in Madison AL.
