Love that they have call ahead seating. You can eat inside or outside under covered patios. Service is excellent. Brunch menu is fantastic and includes creative specials and many gluten free options. Our group all ordered different items from both the breakfast and lunch menus and everyone really liked their meals. We will definitely return and look forward to trying dinner.Thank you! 2nd visit, the Eggs Benedict had one yolky and one hard poached egg. Jessica professionally responded with a replacement. On the other hand the cheddar grits with 4 shrimp and plenty of andoullie sausage in a nice pool of creole gravy was delish. The cup of mushroom soup with oyster crackers was also satisfying.

High end Breakfast, Lunch and Brunch without the high end prices!
While waiting to pick our daughter up from camp at the beautiful Davidson campus, we stopped to have breakfast at the Famous Toastery. We loved it!! They have outdoor seating in the back and front. Either would be a great option on a nice day. The back is shady, but the front allows for some great people and dog watching. Lots of people strolling with their dogs on this main downtown strip for Davidson. Had incredible gluten free toast. The service was excellent! We will definitely eat at the Famous Toastery again when we are in Davidson!

Been awhile since we had dined here. I've only dined here once before but this used to be one of my wife;s favorites for Soup before went on a Weight Watches Program. Now she checks out the menu first before we go out and plan her meal according.Fortunately one of her favorites, the Chicken Noodle Soup, got a very good rating.Walked in at 1:15 pm and they were making it. She asked two more times before we left at 2::00 pm and they were always "making it"She also ordered a Smoked Turkey Sandwich that came out in a bowl. She asked what it was and was informed she had ordered a Sandwich without Bread which was not the case. Back to the kitchen and they finally got it right.I'm a fan of the Cuban Sandwich so I ordered a Cuban Panini. Granted a standard ingredient is a Cuban is pickles but this one was so loaded with pickles that was all you could taste and when you picked it up, pickle juice just came running out. Very messy. In other words, we were not impresses by service and accuracy.Generally a nice restaurant but crowded today and a bit noisy. Not impressed with this visit.
