We walked up to the village of Damme, one nice morning and after exploring the town, fortunately, found this café on a side road. It had an inviting seating area outside and being a relatively nice day, 4 of us sat and perused the menu.Design your own sandwiches (about €3.50) and beer (about €4.00 – 5.00) sounded good to us and after placing orders, we found that they were. This gets 8 thumbs up from 4 of us.

Husband and I just had breakfast here today! Was absolutely delicious (we had the triple madam) and the service was excellent. Really nice vibe to the place and superb fresh food! There was queue but it went quickly and we were in and seated in 10mins! Definitely worth the wait! Highly recommend!

On our trip to De Haan we spent one day in Brugge. Instead of having breakfast in our hotel in De Haan, we decided to have breakfast in Brugge. We ended up having breakfast At Tattie's.All in all, we had a good breakfast! Decent portions, enough options, and efficient service for a good price. No real downsides to note, except perhaps that inside it feels a bit cramped, on the first floor it's a bit hot, and due to the fact that the kitchen is in the center of the room on the ground floor a bit noisy. Would have breakfast here again!

Cafe Cambrinus

Reviewed By Weyes1

On our first night in Bruges our B&B host recommended Cambrinus. We really enjoyed the walk to the establishment and, since we had a reservation, we had no problem getting a nice table. Our server immediately seated us, provided a menu and took our order, then we never saw her again. She spent the rest of her time drinking beer and chatting with the bartender. Fortunately, a young server brought our food and attempted to help. We ordered the Brewer’s menu and a flight of beer. The brewer’s menu is a starter (we chose the delicious Trappist cheese which is fried), a main course (we chose Flemish carbonnade) which was tender and absolutely delicious, and creme brûlée for dessert. We both liked the Bourgogne des flandres beer. It’s dark and delicious. I also loved the cherry beer. Our biggest issue was with our non-existent server. Since dessert came with our meal, we had to wait a long time before we could get the young server’s attention to ask when we would get our dessert. She had no idea we had ordered the brewer’s menu because she hadn’t taken our order. But, since our original server was busy talking and ignoring us, we had no choice but to ask the young server who paid attention. We felt sorry for her. She was very hard-working. Wish we had gotten her name to sing her praises. The other lady we did not like at all. Had it not been for the non-existent attention of the original server, this would have been 4 stars.
