This place was recommended by a local... Must be a relative! They have an extensive breakfast menu but we were promptly told, rather curtly, that breakfast is over when we sat down - we hadn't even asked. So we ordered sandwiches; I got the Buffalo burger and my husband the fish. The fish was a deep fried square similar to McDonald's. The burger was a frozen patty and the French fries were undercooked. All disappointing for a diner. The service was basic - no pleasantries or even a smile. Sure wish we'd have gone to the Mexican restaurant (which I later read a raving review of) or the burger place down the street.

Offering the Best Coffee in the Black Hills ! Bagels and Bagel Sandwiches. Presently, we are no offering wine/beer sorry, will return in the future.
Stopped in for breakfast and everything was delicious! This obviously is a favorite stop for locals and visitors. There's a counter to order food and/or drinks and two roomy spaces with tables and chairs - very comfortable and we enjoyed the local art covering the walls. But best of all we enjoyed our perfectly put together bagels and the owner's friendly conversation. We look forward to returning for another tasty meal during our stay in Custer. My husband spied cherry ice cream on our way out so that will have to be included in our order.Thank You for the 5 stars ! Our bagels are great, made locally in Rapid City by Black Hills Bagels ~ so fresh. Also thank you for enjoying the artwork, it is mine, the owners local wildlife, (that's my other profession), plus we live in the best place to view wildlife. Appreciate the time you took to write your review.

This was an ok meal. The decor is hats, hats and more hats. Seating is something to be desired and there is a gift shop to wonder thru after your meal. Had shrimp and fries. It was served hot and crispy. Small amount of fries accompanying my shrimp. This seems to be the locals favorite as many were there. It wasn't a bad dinner. Maybe by my next visit,it will be updated.
