This restaurant is just wonderful. We picked it randomly and it was a great choice. The grilled fish was superb, fresh, delicate. Cavatelli with mussels, clams and saffron among the best pasta ever had. A special tiramisù and cassata ice cream with QUARTA coffee espresso (best coffee in Italy) in the end. The perfect italian lunch. It made the end of vacation less painful. The waitress was super polite and nice, location chilling and classy. Moderately low price for the high quality of food.If you have the chance, go there and enjoy fresh fish!!Ciao, a presto.

Brindisi, (on this particular Saturday afternoon), was very quiet. At 1330, a lot of places seemed to be closing. So we grabbed a table at Betty's, (which didnât look too busy), and crossed our fingers that it would deliver a good lunch. First the service - it was a bit chaotic. We didn't help matters with my wife swapping tables, (to get a little shade), before we had ordered. But it was a nice, friendly, Italian "chaos", with everyone doing their best. What about the food? I started with a seafood platter which was OK. Some thin slices of squid, (I think?), good octopus, fish in batter, salad, Tropea onions and a piece of the ubiquitous "Mediterranean salmon". It tasted very good to be honest but with the sea being literally a few metres away - why use imported salmon? We had two pasta courses next, with my wife having spaghetti vongole and me a mixed seafood linguine. Both were very good with lots of fresh clams for my wife and mussels, prawns and other unidentified seafood on mine. Both served with very tasty, not over-cooked pasta. My wife had a local ice cream dessert, which she said was also very good. I had coffee, (excellent), and a very very good grappa. With lunch we had a Primitivo, (not a great match for seafood I confess), but it was very good and way way above the quality you should expect for â¬20 in a restaurant. After this lunch, Betty's became our "go to" place for a glass of wine at any time, or a morning coffee. Everyone was always polite and friendly. The range of drinks and food was excellent and watching the occasional ship dock, provided an interesting diversion. Plus, it always seemed to be open, which was a bonus. All in all, a very nice place.

In the land embraced by two seas, along the breasts of Levante, in Brindisi, the Theodorvs Caffè e Cucina and its dishes follow the history of the territory, the seasonality of its raw materials and the passion for cooking, for an 'alternative experience
We came here because it was promoted by our B&B - they own this too and offered us a discount as we were staying with them. Otherwise, there's no way we would have seen it - it's away from the main touristy part of the front, off near the ferry terminal (perhaps it'll be good for foot traffic for them?), next door to a large, bad hotel (https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g187875-d1205801-Reviews-Hotel_L_Approdo-Brindisi_Province_of_Brindisi_Puglia.html) on a very busy road in what appeared to be a less than pleasant area of the town. The restaurant is very classy - just like their B&B (Santo Stefano Luxury Rooms), the first impression is 'wow!'. Theodorvs certainly looks out of place compared to the cheap hotel it shares a building with!We had seen the menu in advance in our B&B and again online. Having gone to check it now to help with my review, it's changed! Perhaps they refresh the menu every month or two? We were sat outside. Due to its location it was unpleasant when buses roared past.As it is not near the bars/restaurants we had been used to, our entire night out was to be here (ie with other restaurants, we may have had a drink in one or two bars nearby before eating) - this meant we planned on having a cocktail before our meal. The waiter seemed a little confused by this, though fortunately we were able to communicate that, firstly, we wanted the cocktail menu and, secondly, to leave the dinner menu with us for later.Cocktails weren't great. Rather weak.Ordered two pasta primi and two meat secondi, then two desserts. A nice bottle of rose and some still water.I had chosen a fish dish for my main (something to do with 'yellowtail') and a few moments later the waiter came back and pointed at the dish on the menu and said "I don't know". He had very limited English and we have very little Italian so I assumed he was trying to tell me they did not have any of this fish left - he then appeared to be giving me substitute options - we managed to catch tuna and swordfish. I'm new to fish and didn't fancy either of those so unfortunately had to settle for the sliced beef dish. The lobster gnocchi I ordered did not look as I was expecting! It was however very good. My wife's artichoke risotto was not well received initially, though as she ate more of it she began to enjoy it. The sliced beef I had reluctantly ordered was also very good. My wife had a rabbit dish, wrapped in bacon served with fondant potato. She enjoyed it despite the bacon (which she is not a fan of).Desserts were also good, particularly my tiramisu. As guests of their B&B we were offered a 10% discount from the bill.Similar to their B&B, this place is very impressive to look at and it is clear a lot of thought and planning (and money!) has gone into this project. Despite my misgivings on the location they have chosen, I wish them success.
