I passed a great morning here, cooking and eating. Staff are polite and friendly and the food is delicious. I got pretty bitten in the garden, but you can probably avoid this by paying more attention to using repellent and the mosquito coils. Even you don't do the cooking course, I recommend buying the recipe book. It has easy to understand recipes and nice cultural notes. Practical notes -- it closes on Mondays and doesn't serve alcohol

Opposite my hotel and highly rated on Lonely Planet and TripAdvisor, I had to try it. Casa Mia didn't disappoint. Friendly service. The menu is extensive with Thai Burmese and Italian dishes, so plenty of choice. I was feeling adventurous and went for the Burmese pumpkin chicken curry. It was very good and very filling. It cost only 60 Baht. A large Chang was 80 Baht. There's free wifi and a toilet. I'd eat here again.
Where to eat Asian food in Mae Sot: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Really pleased we found this place. It's not easy to find but worth looking for.We had a beef curry, naan bread (10Baht!!) & vegetable samosas washed down with a sweet iced coffee. The place is heaving busy in the morning and packed with locals & a handful of travellers. They have a proper tandor oven which churns out outrageously good naan bread.Think it closes around midday, so you need to get there in the morning. Two of us ate for around 120 Baht
Mae Sotâs best âbreakfastâ got throws maâam bread onto an oven wall which then goes straight onto your plate. Beef it up with some Daal or other sides and you will have a memorable hit. Not your western bacon and eggs but well worth the stop. They usually sell out by 9.Donât miss it if you are in Mae Sot!
