The population was 13,498 at the 2010 census. The city was home to the former Wixom Assembly Plant, which produced the Lincoln LS, the Ford Thunderbird, the Ford GT, and the Lincoln Town Car. The plant closed its doors on May 31, 2007.

We had 6 for a birthday and even though it wasn't very busy on a Sunday for lunch, we had to wait almost 15 minutes for a table, they seemed to not have enough wait staff that particular day and there was a party of about 14 a head of us. BBQ full slab was very good, brisket and pulled pork was good but a little underwhelming. Sides were all excellent including asparagus, mac and cheese and corn bread. Kids had pancakes, french toast, sausage and ham and they thought it was excellent.

Might be highly rated as best around, but the BBQ was some of the most tasteless I have ever had. While prepared well, totally lacked in seasoning.I had the tasting plate, brisket, pulled pork and sausage - the sausage was the best thing on the plate - sides smoked mac and cheese - no smoke, collard greens were decent, but not great. Place was packed inside and out - I don't get the attraction?

Three of us had dinner here. Two had baby back ribs the other brisket. All meals very good including sides Friendly helpful staff. Good lace to eat.

DO NOT EAT HERE; rudest staff I have ever seen, teeny tiny portions, and just a general unpleasantness. They charge $9.50 for a sandwich with two tiny pieces of brisket on it and two sides in little cardboard cups. I asked if they would âtop offâ my sides, as they looked so unbelievably short. The woman shouted at me âNo!â She was not kidding. Add certainly did not add anything to my sides. $9.50 does not include a pop, or cornbread, or anything else at all. The sandwich was so small and dry!!!! We will never eat there again, thatâs for sure.
