Great service and delicious food. Been twice now and each time the food has been impressive. We've had a mixed array of appetizers and meals - and we have liked everything. Hummus and flatbread are perfect, brussel spouts app amazingly tasty, and of course the pretzels are yummy and fun for kids!

Moe's Original Bar B Que

After an early afternoon of snowshoeing at Donner Memorial State Park in Truckee, we decided on having a sit down meal in Tahoe City, about 30 minutes away. Having knowledge of restaurants down by the waterfront of Lake Tahoe, we settled on this particular restaurant. Being mid afternoon and mid week, it was quiet and we enjoyed personal service. The food was excellent, the staff friendly and attentive. There was a really good selection of cold beers available. The price was very good for what we ate, $38. That was for two meals and two beers plus tip. We highly recommend trying this restaurant, but be aware that it will be busier on weekends and during summer months. There was some excellent recorded Country Music being played while we dined. We left very satisfied. I had the 6 bone St. Louis Ribs with two sides, homemade baked beans and marinated slaw. It was also served with a delicious slab of cornbread. My wife had the Pulled Pork Sandwich, Marinated Slaw and Sweet Potato side that was awesome!

Backyard Bar & Barbecue at Ritz Carlton

We purposely skied over to the Ritz for a drink and small bite while skiing as we don't like to deal with on mountain dining crowds. While speaking to the hostess another guest just cruised right past us and the hostess blew us off and accommodated them before us. WTF!!! Even if they are guests of the hotel and should be accommodated before us, this situation was not handled well and we left annoyed and never to return. Not very welcoming at all.
