A ski town that is also an authentic ranching center, Steamboat Springs is more down home than glitzy. Cowboy hats and ski boots are equally welcome on the city's friendly streets. The place where downhill skiing first flourished in the United States, Steamboat Springs remains a premiere slopes destination. But the town also offers outdoor recreation of every stripe and season. And after a long day hiking, schussing or shopping, you can relax in one of the natural hot springs for which the town was named.

I think the Smokehouse has the earliest Happy Hour beginning at 3 pm with $3 drafts and 1/2 price wings. It was 3 pm so we stopped in. The Prost Kolsch beer was perfect for a hot day and normally $6 a draft. The wings are normally ~$8 for a 1/2 pound which turns out to be 2 flats and 2 drums plus celery and carrots. We got the dry rub which was excellent. The BBQ sauces available were also really good. A couple of beers and a plate wings for $10 is a super reasonable Happy Hour!

This place had amazing fries, it was my only reason for eating here so much! They have since changed the fries for whatever reason and I will now not go back.

Everything in Steamboat Springs is downtown, but because of trip advisor, we went the extra 1.2 miles to Moe's. Totally worth it. As is usual, all the trucks outside during lunch will take you to the real deal in lunch food.BBQ was real good, hot link sausage on the side with slaw and green chili sides totally hit the spot and were all great. Sausage was hot enough to get the nose running without the burning lips...solid.Planning on going here again this weekend. Sports on 5 tvs always seals the deal and pbr.

Visited once before years ago and thought we'd return on a Saturday night. Really not worth the cost, very dissapointing. Overpriced for what on offer. Food cold. Servers not interested. Nice to ride the gondola and see the town lights at night...some great restaurants in town so go find them and spend your cash there.
