Despite being on the main road this is a quite little restaurant, possibly as we were there in May. The food is cooked on an open fire outside cooked to perfection and served on slate dishes. The prices are pretty reasonable which includes the drinks. The owners are really friendly and I have to thank them for staying open and cooking on a quiet night. To finish of my meal of a brilliant steak I had the chocolate fondant. Masterchef eat your heart out this was excellent. It is worth a trip and with the Vert bar down the road a good evening will be had.

You need to book as this place is very popular. We got in on the third attempt an d it was worth it. The atmosphere envelopes you as you walk in and the open pit barbecue is manned the proprietor who cooks all the steaks, which are excellent.The cheese dishes, fondue etc. are very good too. Service is friendly and attentive, though when busy it's a touch slow, which is understandable. Recommended!

Sit by the river inside or out, a bit of upscale country right in town. A small but varied menu, prepared with taste for the eyes and palate. Chicken curry, veal rib eye, portobello stuffed with chestnut, and more. Carefully selected reasonably selected wines youâve never heard of from Savoy or far afield. Prices modest for what you receive. Staff are helpful, friendly, bilingual. Stopped here as it was the only place open close to our hotel. Loved the decor, food and service. These guys are working hard to deliver quality food and service and we didnât feel over charged for what we got. Lots of smiles even with the language barrier and we left happy.
