Savvas is one of those gems that doesnât try to be anything other than what it is. The food is authentically Greek, fresh cooked and amazingly inexpensive. Itâs a shame we never found this place on previous visits.

Went as a family of 9. Took us a while to walk there from The Olive Garden Hotel as had young children but it was well worth it. A lovely atmosphere, with excellent service and wonderful food. We thought the cost was very reasonable at â¬151 for starters, mains and a couple of rounds of drinks including alcohol.

A short walk from the hotel.Friendly staff. Big portions.Great for families and large groups.Lamp chops very juicy and tasty.This was the small burger (pic). The house special burger must be huge (double patties). Prices are perhaps a little bit better than those in the main strip.Stew

The stuffed peppers and tomatoes are my favorite Greek food and everywhere we go I try them. I don't enjoy it with meat and so far The Grill is the only place nearby that I've found that doesn't put meat in them. With the exception of one tiny place in Crete, the gemista here is the best I've ever had, and I must have had it in upwards of 30 places over the last 7 years, perhaps more!My husband really rates their gyros and had it both times we came, and the kids portions are huge. My 3 year old had a burger that was really flavourful and the chips are spiced with something amazing. I wish I knew what! They'll package up leftovers which was great when the kid only eats half and you can take it home for when they inevitably tell you they're still hungry...We had takeaway one night and the food was just as good at home as it was sat in. :) We're here for another week so hopefully we'll have another opportunity to come.
