We decided to give this resto a second chance after being very disappointed when it opened and we were happy to find a large improvement. The honey chicken was well cooked and came with a sweet BBQ sauce and coleslaw. The lemon garlic shrimp with hotdog was nice but not as nice as some shrimp I have had recently. Shakes were really nice and creamy and chilled. The grilled tapa was a little overdone but ok. Poqui poqui was light and sharp and refreshingLocation is very convenient in a city centre with few eating options however the shrimp is a little pricey whilst the other prices are good

Except for the quaintness of this restaurant AND the pretty tasty meal, everything else receives failing marks! Because we were a group of more than 40, we reserved in advance for dinner. The establishment required a downpayment (yes, a downpayment), with which our host complied. We then pre-ordered so our meals would be ready when we got there, with close coordination between our group coordinator and the restaurant staff. Lo and behold, when we got there, none of the food we ordered was cooked, there were unavailable items from our ordered list, and it went downhill from there! Obviously, our group anticipated that any restaurant in a place like La Union would be overwhelmed by our big group, hence, the pre-ordering. So we waited, and waited, and waited, with intervention from our coordinator and hosts, who practically stood by the cooking staff AND the wait staff to get things done and to hurry them along. Our companions even served some of the drinks from bar to table because everyone there was overwhelmed. If the food weren't good, the whole evening would have been a complete disaster! The oysters, the inihaw squid, the bagnet over greens, the beef (tadyang, I think), the pinakbet and more...were scrumptious. Although we waited for a long time, our food turned out delicious. And when paying time came, we had to wait for a very long time again because the restaurant didn't have a system. The orders they wrote in smaller pieces of paper were all written onto a larger piece of paper (yes, indeed, redundant), the prices then written down, then totaled by hand (yes, indeed, they could have used the calculator on their cell phone, but they apparently needed to exercise their brain mathematically)...Two of our group members tried to teach them a faster system but they wouldn't do it...so with all of us already piled into our vehicles, we waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. Then, c'est fini! We couldn't get away from there soon enough. Management: train your staff; anticipate bottle necks, problems; no reason for the deterioration of service since early on, our host already paid partial to insure our reservation and called again to confirm our orders... BAD BUSINESS, what happened to us.

If you're looking for authentic Korean food, this restaurant will not disappoint. The food was delicious; we had samgyeopsal, spare ribs in sweet sauce and japchae. The serving was genenous and they serve free appetisers/sides that they refill upon request. It was a bit pricey so prepare to shell out 500-600PHP per pax if you are planning to dine there. But if you're planning to splurge on a meal, this place is definitely worth it this side of town.

Great concept, simple, imagine a range of street food laid out in front of you, and you can eat all you want! Brilliant! You take your pick, bring it to your table and cook it yourself. Great food choices and it worked as a romantic dinner too.
