Reviews on Barbecue food in Iquitos, Loreto Region, Peru. Make the port town of Iquitos your base camp for exploring the Peruvian Amazon basin. The river and rainforest are the main attractions, of course, and once in Iquitos it's easy to book a stay at one of numerous nearby jungle lodges. Closer to town, travelers recommend visiting the market and "floating village" of Belen, seeing colorful creatures at the butterfly farm and animal rescue center, and taking a cruise on the great river.

For breakfast one can find different salty pastrys and in the evening a diverse offer of carbon roasted skewers.
This no nonsense place specialises in kebabs. You chose from the display cabinet, order a beer and sit down. Five minutes later your food appears. Loved the chicken and the "squeaky cheese" with apricot. Best food we had in Peru in my opinion.

This was the first restaurant I ate in when visiting Iquitos. It came highly recommended and did not disappoint. I ordered a traditional beef dish and it did not disappoint. The meat was very tender, and the serving size was huge. It was on the pricier side for Iquitos, but when converted to U.S. dollars it was very reasonable. We had a group of 14 and they had no problem seating and serving us.

this is a very good restaurant to enjoy chicken grill with bananas fried, very delicious. If yo can go to the second floor is more quiet.Itâs not so expensive,a dish is about $6
Itâs amazing how the local businesses are located and it is the same on this busy corner. Four chicken / polleria restaurants serving great food on the corners. Very little English spoken but basics helps. Busy , delicious chicken which is part of local. We took back the mountain of rice and chips for the street children. Portions are big so you share . Great value .
